Some of us are quite happy to accept that cats can get to the top of the list, but can also get the bottom of the list if your pets are all over the place.

This is very time consuming and annoying. Plus, if they have to do this for all the animals in your household, they’re not going to be able to keep accurate statistics on the animals in your household.
The most annoying part of the whole thing is when you have to manually put all the pets in a category to get the highest ranking, which is annoying. You can’t see it unless you have a high-quality list of animals, and in addition to that, you need to manually list every animal in the category. This is hard to do.
This is why I find the pet tracking services that Yahoo finance uses to be so annoying. Not only do they have to put the pets in a category, they have to go through all the categories and put them in one by one, and the more categories they have, the more time it takes to do it. I feel bad for the pet owners.
